Dear instructor: Welcome to the Trial Instructor Portal. This section contains resources to assist you get started with implementing Luta Livre lessons in your school for eight weeks.
We promise the success of this add-on program, which will offer you a path to becoming a Black Belt in Luta Livre and boost your company's revenue.
Just a tiny portion of your time and effort is required.
Use the proposed format below for the classes and follow by the business and marketing advice.
There is no need to purchase specialized equipment because students can begin practicing Luta Livre in shorts, leggings, t-shirts, or rash guards. You only need to dedicate fifty minutes of your time to this incredible program, which is rapidly expanding in the modern world, if you already run a martial arts school.
STEP 1 - The first step is to schedule USA Luta Livre classes. Usually, 50 to 60 minutes is enough. You are more than welcome to begin teaching once a week. Eighty-five percent of grappling class participants train twice a week. To draw in more students and get better results more quickly, it will be best to give sessions twice a week, but you can definitely experiment it once a week.
STEP 2 - Spread the word! Regardless of whether you begin teaching programs for adults or children, start with the professionally created marketing materials. To help you relax and concentrate on the enjoyable aspects of the business, including training and teaching, we give our members access to a wealth of marketing resources.
Use social media to share the digital flyers, send them by email and text message, and print them to give to those you want to invite for a free trial period. They only need a t-shirt and shorts, so remind them of that. Getting started is really simple!

STEP 3 - Establish Age Groups. The lesson plans for the next eight weeks are equally applicable to the same age groups. We recommend classes divided into the following age ranges:
Kids - 7 to 11 years old
Teens - 12 to 15 years old
Adults - 16 years old and up
STEP 4 - Class Structure: The following times allocation are a suggestion for a lesson that last from 50 to 60 minutes. Practice time management by using a clock or timer as you train and teach:
5 -10 min --- Active Warm Up: Running, calisthenics, solo & duo drills, etc...
7-10 min --- Drill 1: Select a single move to teach and ask for one, five, or even ten repetitions per individual. Set a five minutes on the timer for this drill. Ideally, practice a move that was covered in a prior session on this section.
Remind the students some will do more reps, some less and good work-ethic is imperative.
7-10 min --- Drill 2: Select a single move to teach and ask for one, five, or even ten repetitions per individual switching back and forth. Set five minutes on the timer for this drill. Ideally, practice a move that was covered in a prior session on this section.
10 min --- Positional Sparring: Allow students to get mixed up to experience difference partners and opportunities of success. Ask them to spar starting from the position(s) studied previously in the same class.
For example: If you taught a sweep or a guard pass, Start the students from the closed guard position and ask them to advance territory or pursue a submission. If you taught a submission from the mount, for example, start the students from the front mounted position and ask the top player to pursue the submission and the bottom player to defend and escape from the mount.
Once the starting position is no longer configured, restart from the same position again.
Enforce short rounds of 1 minute switching positions among the students (top to bottom and bottom to top) and mixing partners.
1 - 2 min --- Water Break
20-20 min --- Final Destination Sparring: For a group of beginners, it is recommend that sparring start from the knees to avoid injury as it takes a long time to master break falls and perfect execution of takedowns.
As Luta Livre has thousands of techniques just like an enormous puzzle, beginner students can easily get lost and deviate from the lessons they took thus not making sense of the learning process.
It is important to build a spinal cord or give the students a compass to orient them during sparring.
The objective of the grappling arts is to obtain control of the opponent and that can be definitively achieved from the mount positions (front and back). Curiously, those are the positions athletes get the highest score in grappling tournaments (4 points) and are allowed to "stall"- thus the mounts are known as the Final Destination. Enforce rounds of 2-3 minutes. If someone secures front mount or backpack for 3 defunds, ask the students to restart from the knees.
Ending --- Lineup the students as you currently do at your school for some words of encouragement, a quick review of the names of the moves studied and to bow.

It is crucial that you establish a safe and pleasant atmosphere for trial students during their first encounter in order to help them become permanent members.
We advise you to include the student fully in your regular class, covering all warm-up exercises, fundamental drills, and theme technique. However, avoid live sparring until the student is proficient enough in most situations to at least know what to do.
We have been using the "BOTTLE GAME" for more than 20 years, and it is the most effective, positive, and quick experience a new family attending your academy can have.
Ensure that your students are playing in a safe manner, refraining from using excessive force, and pair them with children of comparable size and strength. When using a plastic bottle, make sure the cap is off to release any trapped air, as this could cause harm to children should they fall onto the bottle and cause it to collapse.
Your students will often ask you to play the "Bottle Game" again, so you won't be using it just for trial classes. Thus, give them lots of "Bottle Game" rewards every now and then.

Once you enroll 12 students that become official USALL Federation members (click here), your monthly dues will be waived for the next 12 months.
Beyond the 13th student, you will receive $10 Rebate.

Charges will be waived for a year once 12 students enroll under your name.
